Person-centred canvas

This canvas helps you to organize all the information you have collected about people with dementia. By filling out a canvas for each person with dementia, you can identify the commonalities and uniqueness they have. If you would like to design for one person only, filling in one canvas would be enough.

Our research has found that concrete details and stories about each person are more effective than abstract and generalised knowledge (e.g., persona) in designing for people with dementia. Borrowing the concept of a minimum viable product, a design can only be successful afterwards when it starts to show a positive effect on one individual.

This canvas also introduces you up-to-date therapies (referred to as non-pharmacological interventions in the medical field) applied in dementia care.
